Viking! I know it's not a badass viking like the other ones posted below :) but I didn't have time to draw something realistic. Hope you enjoy it anyways :)

my first post

Hello! For my first post, I have uploaded some class work from last semester, some studies for Still life painting class and Figure painting.

Acrylic on canvas, 11 x 14
Oil on canvas , 16 x 20

Master copy from Robert Liberace. He is an amazing artist, and I tried to understand his amazing use of colors and brush stokes. Unfortunately, I couldn't really get it, he is too good!! :)

This Month's(?) Theme: Viking!

Here's my piece, I wanted to depict a semi-historically accurate Viking on the icy tundra of Greenland.

And here's my process.

Aw that New-Blog Smell...

Well I guess I'll start us off by posting some of the stuff I've been working on for the past few weeks outside of school.

Portrait of David
Oil on Board 12"x 16"

Drawing from Dr. Sketchy's last month.

Exercise wherein you take an ambiguous shape and try to fill up the inside.

And here's a work in progress (WIP) that I have on my easel at the moment.

I'm looking forward to getting this blog rolling so we can all learn from each other.
